Preparing for your Experience

To ensure you get the best out of your Bella Luce Portrait Experience, we recommend that you plan ahead to ensure you have an easy, stress-free day with us.

Things we recommend you do beforehand are:

Prepare everyone’s outfits, jewelry, hair, make-up, and fine details. It’s also important to plan your travel to our studio well before your session day to avoid any problems on the way.

We know it can be exciting for the little ones so ensure you all get a good night’s rest the day before!

Plan plenty of time to get dressed and ready. If you need to do a quick change of clothes, please arrive 15 minutes early. Come ready with hair and make-up so that you only need to do little touch-ups before your session.

On the day of your session

It’s finally time for your portrait session! Our photographers and designers have your session all planned out and we’re ready for your arrival.

The first part of your experience will be in our portrait studio, and it will only take about an hour. This is where you get to have fun and work with our photographers to capture those beautiful images of your family.

The second part of your experience will happen about a week later. You’ll meet with us virtually from the comfort of your home. This is the relaxing part of your experience. You’ll get to sit back comfortably with a warm cup of tea or coffee and while we show you the best images captured from your portrait session.

Your personal designer will work closely with you to select your favorite images and help you turn them into heirloom art pieces for your home. You’ll be able to place your artwork order during this part of your experience so it’s important to have all decision-makers there as we don’t keep any images from your session that are not in your order.

 

After your Experience

Once you have placed your order with us to create your family portraits into art, we immediately send your images off to our retouching artists.

Depending on the style and finish you have selected for your art piece, will depend on the techniques used to finish your artwork off. Your designer would have gone through all these details with you when your order was placed.

Our artwork takes on average between 4 - 6 months to produce and deliver to your home.

Once you have your art piece proudly hanging on your wall we encourage our Bella Luce Families to take a snapshot on their phones and tag us or email it over so we can see how incredible it looks in your home.

FAQs

  • We have a holding deposit of $500 for a portrait session. It reserves an hour in our studio with your family with the photographer. It also includes your own design session with our art consultant. Your session fee can be applied towards the purchase of artwork.

  • Our heirloom artwork starts at $1,000 and goes up to $25,000.

  • Absolutely! We’re here to help you get exactly what you want, without the hassle of large upfront payments. We have flexible payment plan options available that start from as little as the price of a cup of coffee each day. Easy right?

  • That’s absolutely fine! We’re experts with children, and being a family-owned business we know the challenges parents face which is why so many larger families prefer to come to us! We‘ll entertain, and occupy your children throughout your experience so that you have an EASY and STRESS-FREE day!

  • This is a common question and you’ll find all the answers in our style guide, you can read more here

  • There’s no need! We understand that you may have a spot picked out, or you may need help with that part. No worries! Your ordering and design session with happen about a week after your portrait session. This will be a virtual appointment best done from home. We are creative people and we LOVE designing art for people’s homes. When the time comes during your ordering appointment, simply point your camera at the wall(s) where you would like to hang your portrait. We’ll use our fancy apps to show you what your portrait will look like on your own wall!

  • Uh Oh! The most dreaded feeling any parent can have!

    We will do our best to ensure we give you the best possible experience BUT if you are running late there will be a high chance that we will have to cancel your session as it will be near impossible for us to give you the experience you paid for and also capture the images that we would want for you and your family.

    We advise families to ALWAYS plan ahead!

    1) Check live traffic reports (Google/Apple/Waze Maps will give you traffic scenarios realtime)

    2) Have your outfits ready to go the day before

    3) Pack everything you need the day before

    4) Explain to your children how the day will work so they understand too
